The Editor in Chief of the Tamils' Information

The Editor in Chief of the Tamils' Information Mr. Thiru S. Thiruchelvam is a veteran journalist with fifty years experience. He was awarded as an outstanding Editor by the Canadian Ethnic Media Association (CEMA) for editing and cultural sensitivity in the monthly magazine Tamils' Information in the year 1998.

He received special awards from the Mayor of Toronto and the Ontario government at the International year of Voluntarism celebrations in 2001. Mr. Thiruchelvam is one of the first recipients of the Ontario government's Newcomer Champion Award in 2007.

He received the 'June Callwood outstanding achievement award' from the Ministry of Citizenship in 2012. He was the pioneer editor of two Tamil dailies in Sri Lanka.
